3 months ago my blog got Google slapped! I had worked really hard for 2 months creating content and getting it ranked in Google for popular MLM terms. I was generating leads on a consistent basis, creating affiliate income and signing reps. Then it happened… I hit the wrong freaking button…and I was slapped.
You see I use article spinning and distribution to help my web pages rank in Google using the Article Marketing Robot. With this awesome technology you can distribute a “spun” version of your article to literally thousands of directories. Ideally you want to send your article out to between 50-100 directories per day when your blog is new so that Google doesn’t think you are up to something fishy.
Well I accidently published over 2000 articles at the same time by pressing the wrong button and Google buried my blog on the
back 20 pages of the index!
I was slapped so hard that I was not even ranking on the first page for the exact match of my name!
I was devastated! All of my hard work was gone and I had little to show for it. I think many people might have just quit right there. But having previous success with my blog kept me going. I decided to make a brand new blog from scratch. I also started Video marketing and article marketing using web 2.0 properties.
I learned that I could easily get Videos ranked in Youtube and I even came out with my own course on how to get videos ranked!
So 3 months later I was doing some article marketing getting a blogspot page ranked for a keyword that I used to rank highly for and there it was!!! My blog was back! And even stronger then before.
So What did I learn from my Google Prison sentence?
I learned that I need to diversify my marketing methods and not just count on one method. Because if your one marketing method is compromised for some reason then your lead flow and ultimately your cash flow will be gone with it.
I learned that am I resistant because I did not quit on my dreams just because I got punched in the mouth. 2 months of hard was gone but Google did not take my dreams with it.
I learned that I can get virtually any Video to rank in Youtube for competitive, high traffic MLM terms!
I also learned that after 90 days Google will give you your rankings back after they slap you! So if anyone out there has had their blog slapped, don’t give up, keep marketing, and creating leads!

Hey Freddie, Good post. Glad you got out of the Google cage! Are you still using AMR to spin and distribute your articles?

Hey Doug,
I use The Best Spinner to spin my article because of the 1-click spin function. It spins articles in 1 second, where i was spending about 20 min spinning within AMR. I still use AMR to distribute my articles, I have just diversified my web properties to avoid total traffic collapse if Google decides to punk me again! Now I do a combination of Video marketing, article marketing (on Web 2.0 sites) and blogging.
In combination with AMR I use Tribe Pro and Automatic Backlink Creator to get links.
