The Business of the 21st Century is an absolute must for any network marketer. Robert Kiyosaki is so well respected as an author and business ma that he lends incredible credibility to the business of Network Marketing.

Network Marketing has had the reputation in the past as a pyramid scheme or get rich quick scheme. Robert Kiyosaki quickly dispels this myth by stating that Network Marketing is one of the only businesses on earth that people are actually rewarded for helping other people. He says that this is not a get rich quick scheme but rather a get rich over time business.

Kiyosaki emphasizes that power is not in the product; it is in the network. If you want to become rich, the best is to find a strong, viable, growing network.

My Favorite Chapter in “The Business of the 21st Century”

My favorite chapter in the book is called “What it takes”. In this chapter Robert goes over what it takes to make it big in MLM.

He says that you do not need an MBA or high powered business back round. You do not need to be great at sales. In fact, in my company Numis Network when I am talking to leads I emphasize that if they have a back round in sales that I will need to retrain them.

The reason for this is because sales people tend to talk and talk and talk about their opportunity and their prospects feel like they will have to do the same amount of “selling”. Once they decide that they can not sell like the “sales guy” then they have already counted themselves out.

Instead, in my business we train people to connect with their prospect then direct them to the presentation (whether that is a sizzle call or online webinar). Then you just ask them to make a decision. It’s easy as that. No selling necessary.

Can “The Business of the 21st Century” help you sign prospects?

After reading this book I have to say that it will NOT help you learn about prospecting or making money in network marketing. This is not what this book is about. Robert actually ties in a lot of the principals from his other books, such as Rich Dad Poor Dad and the Cash Flow Quadrant.

Instead of focusing on Network Marketing Principals he really focuses on why Network Marketing is a great avenue for people to make money. He also focuses on the mind set necessary be successful in any business, not just Network Marketing. This book was an easy read and offers great credibility to any MLM business for the skeptical people out there.
